April 2, 2016, 2pm-4:30pm– Host: Colin Haskins Music: Podunk Throwbacks. Featuring the poetic talents of Tony Hansen , Susan Mardinly, Debbie T Kilday, Amy Woronick, Mike L Kilday.

April 21, 2016—7pm  A Beat Poetry Evening Featuring George Wallace:   Ferguson Library, 96 Broad St Stamford Ct. 06615   

          A reading and discussion of the poetry and prose from the Beat generation, led by 2015-2016 the National Beat Poet Laureate of the National Beat Poetry Festival, George Wallace.

Wallace will explore not only the ‘Major Beats,’ but the range and diversity of writings which emerged from the Bohemian 1950s movement — including poetry and prose by women, African-American, Asian-American and regional voices.

Come join Northport LI. as it celebrates its historic connection to Beat legend Jack Kerouac with a program of poetry and jazz at Kerouac’s own ‘watering hole’ — Gunthers Pub.

The event is organized and will be hosted by Mary Jane Tenerelli and National Beat Poet Laureate George Wallace, in association with the International Beat Poetry Festival.

Featured readers for the evening are poets Russ Green, Eddie Donoghue, Kate Kelly, Charlie Pellegrino, Jon Sanborne and Vicki Iorio. Music from Kevin Twigg & Friends.

A limited open mic will be part of the evening.
