The National Beat Poetry Foundation, Inc.’s Annual 3 day Festival & Awards Ceremony, Celebrating Beat Poets from around the globe. Our events are free but donations to the Karma Jar are greatly appreciated.
The festivities begin on Friday night Aug 30, starting at 7pm at Noelke Gallery, 15 Water Street, Torrington, CT. Readings, open mic, a book launch, Music-Podunk Throwbacks, food, friendship & art. Several books will be available for purchase.

On Saturday Aug 31 at the Beekley Community Library, 10 Central Ave, New Hartford, CT, starting at 2pm with readings, books available for purchase, open mic, Musical Artist: Tony Vacca, and the Beats Laureate Awards Ceremony.

On Sunday Sept 1, the last day of our festival, we will be having readings, books sales, an open mic and food will be available for purchase.
Location: Farm River Cafe, 526 Main Street
New Hartford CT 06057. 2pm-5pm.

There will be poetry, music, a book launch, and readings from our newest anthology, “We Are Beat”, from Local Gems Press, the official publisher of the NBPF, several books for purchase, food, friendship & memories made. Many different activities in different locations throughout the weekend. NBPF Beat Poets Laureate plus many other poets and musicians will be performing during this historical 3 day event. Plan to come be a part of this gathering. All are welcome.

Woman Scream, (Grito de Mujer) is a worldwide chain of events celebrated in March, where institutions, poets and artists of different countries volunteer to honor women, sending messages of self-esteem, respect, and rising voices against women violence through different artistic manifestations and themes.
