Chris Bodor is a first generation American. He was born in Connecticut to an English mother and a Hungarian father. During the past three decades, his poems have appeared in many independent, small, and micro-press publications, such as the Lummox Journal, FM Quarterly, and he has been translated into three foreign languages. Bodor is the Editor-In-Chief of the international literary journal A.C. PAPA, which stands for Ancient City Poets, Authors, Photographers, and Artists.Bodor was known as the “Train of Thought Commuter,” because of the volumes of poems that he hand wrote in journals during his three hour commute from NY City to Upstate New York. In 2009, after derailing and moving to Florida, Bodor started up a monthly open mic series called the Ancient City Poets. In 2022, these gatherings became the official St. Augustine chapter of the Florida State Poets Association. During National Poetry Month (April) the group hosts the St. Augustine PoetFest, attracting poets and poetry lovers from the entire state of Florida, and the United States.
