Lorraine Currelley, daughter, poet, writer, essayist, journalist, children’s author, Bronx Beat Poet Laureate 2020-2022, spoken word performance artist, widely anthologized, curator and multi genre artist. Founder, executive director and president of Poets Network & Exchange, Inc. an award winning literary organization. Executive director of the Bronx Book Fair. An awards recipient for community service and contributions to the performing and fine arts. The former president and founding member of the Harlem Arts Fund. Founding organizations Growing Theater, Inc., Poets Cafe, ST. Philips Performing and Fine Arts Center.

She has a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Certificate in Thanatology (grief and bereavement).
