
Patricia Martin, State of CT Beat Poet Laureate bio
Patricia Martin is an author, poet, performer/actor, and freelance writer/communications professional who has been featured at numerous venues, festivals, on radio and television, and published in various periodicals and anthologies. A member of the Author’s Guild, the Nonfiction Author’s Association, and the Connecticut Poetry Society, Martin is the author of six nonfiction books, “In Venice I Could Sing” collection of her poetry, and “Is Love so Fickle,” a haiku chapbook. She also collaborated on “Mancini and Martin,” a CD of original music and spoken word with composer/producer/musician Gus Mancini. She currently is working on a concept poetry book and a biography.
