William F. DeVault is an American-born poet and author, best identified for his prolific writing of romantic verse in various forms and to a sequence of totem muses, women he has been involved with whom he identifies by a symbology, often to the exclusion of any other public identification. In 1996 was declared The Romantic Poet of the Internet by Yahoo. His poetry and memes have been cited by such disparate sources as the Suicide Girls and HGTV host Michelle Beschen, and his video for the poem Darfur (Jesus Wept) received worldwide airplay.
